Here are the fixtures for the 2018 season. Coventry Sabres will be competing in the Midland League as well as a new Midland Gold Cup competition throughout the season. Other team events include the European Club Championships at East Park and the British Club Championships.
Members are encouraged to enter themselves in incidivual competitions, for our age 5-18 riders, there are 8 round of the British Youth and Junior League to enter. With seniors and juniors able to enter the Elite GP rounds.
This year there will be seven rounds of the club all-inclusive Coventry League, taking place on Friday evenings or Sundays. All members are encouraged to race, along with new comers. Coventry League will feature three teams in 2018; Coventry Sabres, Brandon Bees and Whitley Wizards.
At the well-attended AGM earlier this month it was decided to change our coaching and membership structure.
2018 COACHING AND RACING STRUCTURE
The following will take place every week from the end of March to October.
Tuesdays- Coaching night | Juniors at 6pm and Seniors 7pm (moved from Wednesdays)
Wednesdays- Club night ladder league | from 6pm, all welcome from beginners to experts. Open racing based on ladder system
Thursday- 1st and 2nd team training
MEMBERSHIP AND SUBS
The cost for a season membership (any time in 2018) has been cut to the following rates:
Seniors – £20
Juniors – £10
Coaching Night and Club Night Ladder League costs £1.50 for members and £3 for non-members. Plus £1 for bike hire. Thursday training night is free for team members only.
Riders must be paid up members to be eligible to compete in any team competition. Non-members will not be selected for the team. For Coventry League non-members can race for £5.
