RESULT: Coventry League Round 5

Warwick stormed to victory in the fifth round of the Coventry League in impressive style beating closest pursuers Earlsdon by six points.

Led by Mason Phillips, Warwick stamped their authority on the meeting with four successive heat wins following the half time interval. Those four races turned the meeting on its head as Warwick managed to hold their own to claim victory in heat 19 as Jack Bayliss finished the required third.

Phillips top scored for the Royals whilst Shaun Reynolds, on his comeback after almost 10 weeks off the bike, picked up two heat wins. Ronnie Walsall also managed 18 points with Jack Bayliss riding well to claim 10.

For Earlsdon, Daniel Drewett proved the main challenge for his opposing sides. Drewett totalled 17 points and was only defeated by his fierce rival Mason Phillips.

Brandon finished the meeting in third place on 49 points whilst Coventry placed fourth on 43 – Sammie Marsh top scoring for the city club.
