McMillan Flies to Australia for National Championships

Coventry racer Bobby McMillan has announced that he will fly out to Australia in November to compete in the Australian championships.

The World No.4 has raced for Coventry since signing for the club at the start of this season in one of Cycle Speedway’s biggest off-season signings in recent history. The Aussie has lived in the UK since early April 2014 having raced for Sheffield, Wednesfield and Coventry in the process.

Talking about his decision to earn his national crown, McMillan said: “I’ve had the best season to date, I look back and I’ve won the Elite League, represented my club in the World Cup and managed fourth in the world.

“My career in the sport has just gone up and up so to head back to Australia for a couple of weeks to try and win that national championships will top it off.

“I’ll fly out on November 4th and then compete in the championships at Salisbury on the 7th – I can’t wait to get back out to Aussie for a couple of weeks but it’ll be back to business come March with the Midland & Elite League campaigns.”
